Are there any risk connected to running with a high pulse?
Hi, I've heard different rumors about running with high pulse. I'm 18 years, my resting pulse is at 47 beats per minute. I am in pretty good shape, but my pulse goes extremely high when I run or go cross county skiing. My average pulse in bpm is usually around 195, sometimes even as high as 95% of max pulse when I run/ski for about 30 minutes, and I've measured my pulse as high as 213 on these trips, even I haven't pushed my limits to the most. I experienced chest pain last year in the middle of my chest once in a while last year, like someone was stabbing me with a knife when I did sudden movements. However, this haven't bothered me for a while, so I think this pain was pretty harmless. I hear my friends pulse zones are a lot lower than mine when they run, my average pulse is above their max pulse, which makes me wondering if I just have a natural high pulse, or if there are any risks connected to this. Should I get a check at a doctor just in case, or are there no needs to worry?
Have measured it with two different pulse watches, I get the same results
